INTRODUCTION:

Education may be considered as a vital process in social sense. It is indispensable for the development of an individual and the society. This world would have been enveloped in the intellectual darkness had it not been illuminated by the light of education. Attempts have been made by the government of India to universalize education in all parts of the country with special emphasis on Primary Education. Article 45 of the Indian Constitution makes provision for Free and Compulsory Education for all children until they complete the age of 14 years. Inspite of several attempts to fulfill the directive principles, yet there is a huge wastage among the children in primary stage especially in rural areas. (ii) Interview Schedules.

The study is being conducted in a systematic procedure by employing the above tools and collection of data is in progress.
